From 54 Google clicks to 2,900, comparing the same weeks of 2025 and 2026

The business

A local business that takes bookings online and has a busy season and a quiet season. We handle the search work there. The business is not a law firm and goes unnamed here, and both screenshots are cropped so the site cannot be traced. Law is a new field for us; this is the plainest before-and-after we can offer.

Before

Between 2022 and 2025 the site published 22 articles. Across August 2025 to February 2026, Google search sent those pages 111 clicks.

What was done

Starting in February 2026, the site added new articles every month. Each one answered a search that people nearby were already making, and each title named the place and the occasion. By October 20 there were about 170 of them. That many pages made sense for this kind of business. A law firm would need far fewer, as the last section explains.

The result

For August 1 to October 20 in each year, the article pages drew 2,900 clicks in 2026 and 54 in 2025. Over March 1 to October 20, 2026, they drew 13,400 clicks and 1.11 million impressions.

Search Console totals for the article pages: 2.9K clicks and 262K impressions from August 1 to October 20, 2026, against 54 clicks and 161K impressions for the same dates in 2025.

Search Console chart of daily clicks and impressions for the article pages, July 31, 2025 to October 20, 2026: 13.5K clicks and 1.38M impressions in total. Clicks stay near zero until March 2026, peak at a little over 200 a day between late April and early July, then settle at roughly 20 to 60 a day.
The same article filter across the full 16 months Search Console stores, July 31, 2025 to October 20, 2026; clicks in blue, impressions in purple. Impressions for the older articles dropped off around New Year, before any new articles were published, and those older pages remain live and unedited. The marker labelled 1 is Google's note of a search update on April 21, 2026. The site name has been cropped out.

What the numbers leave out

A click is a visit from Google, not a customer, and we don't publish the business's bookings or revenue. Most of the April to early July peak came from holiday articles, which climb ahead of each date and drop away after it. A result at one business does not predict a result at yours.

For a law firm

A firm's version is much smaller: one page for each case type and one for each town it serves, with an attorney approving every one before it is published. The order of the work is unchanged: learn what people nearby already search for, publish the page that answers it, then read Google's own data to see whether people are finding it.

Ask for the two-page memo on your firm

The memo is free: the searches people in your town make for the cases you want, where your firm shows up, and the first three fixes.
